Private health insurance for addiction treatment

UKAT is proud to partner with top insurance providers such as Bupa, AXA, Cigna, and WPA. These collaborations allow us to deliver comprehensive addiction rehab programmes, ensuring high-quality, accessible care tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs.

We believe that residential rehabilitation is the essential route toward recovery. We aim to welcome as many people as possible into our rehabilitation centres, which is why UKAT is proud to announce that both BUPA and AXA health care can now be used to fund addiction-recovery treatments.

How does Bupa cover work?

Our BUPA-recognised psychiatrist will assess BUPA members, who will then submit the assessment to BUPA. They will contact you to let you know whether you qualify. The length and type of cover will depend on your specific policy and the terms of that agreement.
If you have a BUPA insurance policy and are ready to start your road to recovery, then reach out to us today. We can discuss everything with you in more detail, and your call will remain completely confidential and answered by our addiction specialists.

When discussing your treatment options with your UKAT admissions advisor, please inform them if you intend to use your private insurance provider for coverage. Your admissions advisor will then guide you through the process, tailored to AXA or BUPA admissions. This process typically takes about 7 days from start to finish.

They will assist you in completing all the necessary paperwork and schedule your assessment with our AXA/BUPA approved psychiatrist. Subsequently, all documentation will be submitted to your insurance provider.

Once we receive approval from AXA/BUPA, our team will promptly contact you to confirm your admission date and time. Our admissions team and your chosen treatment centre will work together to ensure everything is prepared and in place before your admission.

Please note: Treatment funded by AXA and BUPA can only be arranged prior to admission, and not after a client has been admitted into treatment or completed treatment.

“Being here for the week of my detox has made all the difference to my future health. They save lives here.”
