UK’s Leading Private Addiction Treatment Firm Receives Investment by America’s Eli Global
UK Addiction Treatment Group, more commonly known as “UKAT”, and the largest private addiction treatment firm in the UK by patient volume, has received an investment from US-based multinational corporation Eli Global.
Eli Global, headquartered in North Carolina, is a privately held group of independent companies with a strong track record in delivering results across a range of different sectors and geographies; including healthcare and behavioural health.
UKAT operates seven addiction treatment facilities across the UK, each of which admits on average 180 private and NHS patients per month for substance, process and behavioral addiction types.
UKAT, led by its managing director and former addict in recovery Daniel Gerrard, see the investment as an opportunity to “exponentially grow” the business, such that UKAT can reach and treat significantly more people across the UK and Europe:
“The acquisition is a really positive move for UKAT, as it will help us to grow at the pace we have wanted to for some time now. Unfortunately, addiction is something that doesn’t discriminate and can happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime; I know that from my own personal experience. But now, with the support of the experts at Eli Global, we are excited to help more people than we have ever done before across the UK get the qualified, regulated and effective addiction treatment they need, at an affordable price.” ( Daniel Gerrard )
The deal with Eli Global means that UKAT will continue to operate independently; UKAT’s managing director Daniel Gerrard will continue to be key shareholder in the business.
The Eli Global portfolio companies operate independently of one another, with original CEOs and management teams continuing to have full autonomy.
Brad Mullahy of Yaras Group (an Eli Global Portfolio) comments on its recent investment:
“We’re thrilled to have invested in the UK Addiction Treatment Group. They’re a business driven by their need to help those suffering with addiction, and they have done that very successfully for the last four years, and with our support will continue to do so.
“We only work with firms who offer a mission critical service and are backed by solid management teams and passionate leaders. UKAT fits that criteria and we expect nothing but continued success.”
