When I arrived at Linwood I was so anxious and apprehensive, I was welcomed immediately by the staff. The residents were so welcoming and I settled in quickly. The everyday structure is great to get you back on track and I found talking about my problems and hearing abouts others was comforting. Gaynor was my therapist and has been there for me every step of the way, she is fantastic. I have all the information and help I need to continue on my journey and I know if I ever have any problems they are only a phone call away. Thank you Linwood from the bottom of my heart!
Coming into linwood scared and anxious, I was welcomed by the team. Initially I was here for 28 days, but decided to stay longer which was arranged immediately for me. My therapist was Phoebe, who is wonderful. She has been there at the drop of a hat for me. Phoebe has gone above and beyond, helping me find a safe and secure flat for when I leave. A place I can call home, thanks to her. She is kind, patient and warm. I would highly recommend Linwood to anyone suffering from alcoholism and/or addiction.
I was on my third relapse from alcohol this year, with no idea how to fix my addiction. My only periods of sobriety were from white-knuckling it. I've just finished my treatment and I've got a lot of confidence I'll be able to maintain sobriety. I've come away with a lot of knowledge and tools; and I'm actually excited to put them into practice. The staff are very knowledgeable and experienced. They were very caring during my withdrawal.
Thanks for the 28 day programme, the learning process was great and really supported me in my initial recovery and given me a solid foundation from which to build upon when I am discharged

I have found linwood house really good, I arrived I could barley walk, now I'm walking again. I'm socialising again. I found I had a lot of free time on my hands which I found tiring. All the staff are brilliant. The food was nice, I'm interested to see if I have put on weight because I lost loads. Gaynor my therapist was wonderful

Linwood House has saved my life I attended for 2 weeks and it that time I have found Sobriety, an inner strength and the determination to follow the 12 Steps which is paramount to stay sober. The staff are amazing and caring. With you all the way however long you stay in rehab.I know without LINWOOD HOUSE my life would have been over.
I have had an amazing experience at Linwood house. My therapist Gaynor has constantly gone above and beyond to ensure I got the most from my stay. The group sessions have helped me with my emotions and self esteem. I found the Gong sound and Yoga sessions really helped with my inner wellbeing. The whole experience has shown me that I can now live a life without addiction with continued support from meetings and continuing the 12 Step programme.
